In Glittering Grey - A New Film by Anton Corbijn

Okay, okay...we thought a month without missing a day of blogging would be no problem (at least Jaime did) but we've been caught out after a day with no entry.  A surprising number of you brought it to our attention this morning so we're having to make good on our deal; reduced wedding contracts and super-duper-discounted portrait sittings to all those who wrote in (you still have till midnight tonight).  One thing we didn't consider was that our existing clients would have us in their cross-hairs so we've come up with an incentive for them now too!  If you already are working or have worked with us, we'll give you 50% off any parent albums (remember, this is an exact mini version of your wedding album for the folks and must be purchased at the same time).

We'll try not to miss again or Alex is going to have to eat grass and dirt for the next year...which he's currently fine with.

In other news, we'd like to say a few things about a photographer/filmmaker/director who is of great inspiration to us.

Anton Corbijn has just released a new film to critical acclaim at this year's Cannes Film Festival.  The film is titled In Glittering Grey and it chronicles the tragically brilliant life of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis.  I haven't yet seen the film but judging from it's accolades at this years festival and from Corbijn's years of tireless work documenting the music world (Corbijn has been photographing U2 for 22 years and published the first photos of Joy Division as well as directed one of their videos) - it should rock.  I was introduced to Corbijn by my friend Hector Roberts who taught me the basics of photography back at the University of San Diego darkroom in the mid-90's.  Thanks Hector!
